Control Tower Dashboard
A Control Tower dashboard for monitoring KPIs across a manufacturer's motor vehicles division, supported by automated data preparation and interactive drill-downs.
The Challenge
The manufacturer needed a centralized view of their key performance indicators across multiple business units. Data was scattered across systems, manual reporting consumed hours daily, and teams lacked real-time visibility into aging inventory and sales performance.
The Build
I designed and built a Power BI Control Tower dashboard fed by R scripts for daily data preparation and enrichment. The dashboard featured interactive KPI cards, drill-downs by region and product line, and automated alerts for metrics outside acceptable ranges. I also created a companion R Shiny web app specifically for aging inventory visibility.
The Impact
The automated pipeline reduced recurring manual preparation. The inventory Shiny app made aging stock easier to identify and act on, while the Control Tower supported the division's daily operating review.
